- Facebook: The common thought is that it’s best to post on social media between 5-7pm when people are getting out of work and school. But, for Facebook, peak times are a little different. The best times to generate engagement of Facebook are between 1-4 pm, with late in the week and weekends being peak time.
- Instagram: On the other hand, Instagram is a platform where peak times are all over the place, so individual analytics really matter. For example, peak listed times on the network are 9 am, 5 pm and 2 am, with Wednesdays generating the most early evening traffic.
- Twitter: Of all platforms, Twitter seems to be the one that sticks to the most traditional peak posting schedule. Traffic surges around 5pm each workday and spikes during lunch hours.
Regardless of which platform you’re using, remember that what your audience is doing is the most important indicator. Pay attention to your audience and your analytics to really generate engagement.
